Walter Ponsell

The founder of Tri State Contractors of Fl. LLC, Walter Ponsell, started his career in 1965 as a draftsman at SCM Organic Chemicals in Jacksonville, Florida. After a series of promotions within the company, he became construction superintendent. By serving as the liaison for negotiations with many kinds of contractors for SCM, Walter gained a broad knowledge of the mechanical contracting business. His transition from dealing with contractors to becoming a contractor himself was a natural and smooth one.

In 1981, Walter joined Tri-State Contractors as vice president. In June 1985, he purchased Tri-State Contractors and renamed it Tri-State Contractors of Florida.  On January 26, 2018 Walter passed the torch to Boos Resource and Technology Group (BoosRT), parent company of Blue Flame Crew, LLC and IngenAE, LLC.

BoosRT is an integrated provider of engineering and construction services including architecture, civil and environmental engineering, maintenance, construction, remediation, and small capital infrastructure EPC services for private and governmental customers nationally. “We look forward to continuing the Tri-State record of operational excellence, safety, and customer service set in place by Walter Ponsell since its inception in 1981,” said the President and Founder of BoosRT, Timothy Boos, “This acquisition will enable BoosRT to further expand our footprint and augment the services we are able to offer our current and new clients.”
